How To Buy the License?

Hi!

I purchased the registered function of Degei. Now I want to get the licensed option so that I can move the program from computer to computer. Your home page does not show how (and you KNOW I am computer illiterate).

Could you please outline the steps for this purchase and tell me if I need to do the purchase on the computer that currently has the Degei software, or if I can do this task from any of my computers?

What is it you are trying to do? Just move it or run it from 2 locations?
If you want to move it, just use your registration download instructions to put the same version of the program on the other computer, then do a backup from pc1 and restore it to pc2.
If you want to run a networked version, it is one licence per pc and there are several manual changes that will need to be made for the program, as well as networking environment setup issues.

Run it from 3 locations. It is currently on my laptop..My laptop is acting funny. I have tried to move it to the two other computers by copying it and installing on the others, but it will not work that way.

I can give you the instructions via email, but I generally do not support networked installs unless it is a pro user becuase without remote access to the network, there is no way I can verify the setup being correct. Email me if you would like the instrucions. It does require that you have knowledge of creating network shares/users/etc. and that you can manually edit and ini file. I will also tell you that reports will be much slower in a networked install, even on the "server".

As for moving it to another computer, it does work fine if you do it the correct way. You cannot just copy it.
Find out what version you are running on the laptop.
Install the software on the other computer and patch it to the SAME version, with just the sample data. Make sure you follow the install instructions, rebooting, running the program between patches, etc.

Then use the backup/restore feature to move the data.

I have version 302. I did purchase the upgrade a while ago (as your records will show) but nothing happened and I didn't want to bother you again.

There is no version 302 on the site

302 is still there for download from your original version 3 purchase links.
What do you mean nothing happened? If you are talking about the version 4 upgrade, then it is likely you did not follow all of the instructions.
I can help, but you will need to ba specific and it will go a lot faster via email than on here.
